- Nikki Dunavin, School Director
Our goal is to help every child develop his or her potential spiritually, socially, physically, and intellectually. Our classes are designed to enhance your child’s early development learning through Chapel, circle time, individual exploration and discovery. Children take part in Bible stories, art, playtime and learning life skills. We also provide weekly science and music classes.
Students Sonlight Preschool offers classes for children ages 12 months-Pre-K. Class assignments will be made based on your child’s age as of September 1st of the current year.
We offer a drop-off service in the morning for those with small infants to help minimize separation anxiety. Parents can drive up to the building where their child will be greeted and escorted to their class. Drop-off begins two weeks after the start of school. In the afternoon, parents must come into the building to pick up their child/children. This provides an opportunity for parents and teachers to correspond with one another.
We would love to see you play an active role in your child’s experience here at Sonlight Preschool.
You will receive a monthly calendar regarding the lessons, teaching goals, activities and special events for that month. You are invited to participate in several special events, such as holiday programs, parent days, and field trips. We encourage you to participate in our class parties. Feel free to visit the school and observe your child at any time.
ADMISSION, TUITION AND PAYMENT
To enroll your child, you will need to turn in a completed registration form, provide a copy of a current shot record, and pay a non-refundable $50 registration fee.
There is also a one-time supply fee due before the start of school:
- Toddlers – $50.00
- 2 years old and up – $85.00
Monthly tuition is $155.00 a month, due the first week of the month. After the 10th of the month, unpaid tuition is considered late and will be subject to a $10 late fee.
Full tuition is due whether your child attends class or not. This allows the school to provide the highest quality classrooms, materials, and learning environments.

Classes are conducted on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00am-2:00pm, September through May. We follow the Amarillo ISD school calendar regarding holidays and inclement weather.
Because our teachers are busy preparing for a day of learning, we ask that you bring your child/children no earlier than 8:50am. We also ask that you pick them up in their classroom promptly at 2:00pm.
A safe and loving environment where children learn and grow!
