The mission of The Colonies Youth is to help teens develop an understanding of who they are and what God has planned for them. Here at The Colonies we want to be a light to our families, friends, and community by living out the scriptures in our day-to-day lives.
1 Timothy 4:12 (NLT) says, “Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.” Teenagers have so much joy and compassion. They have so many wonderful things to offer the world. Here at Church of Christ at The Colonies we strive to provide a safe place for students to shed the shackles of the world and to harness the gifts that the Lord has provided them. It is a place where teens can learn who God is calling them to be and how they can become the light of the world.
“You are the light of the world – like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. NO one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5:14-16 NLT)
High School and Middle School meets every Sunday at 9:30am for Bible hour and every Wednesday from 6:15pm-8:00pm for class.
